All I know about the second Robin is that we don't talk about the second Robin.

[ her tone turns serious. ] Well, to make long story short, Batman isn't the world's best dad. [ a beat. ] Or mentor, for that matter. But you knew that. [ everyone knows that. ] Robin II got into trouble. Seriously messed up stuff. Bats didn't rescue him in time.

[ and maybe she's bitter because he didn't rescue her, either. ]

He put up a memorial and everything. [ she swallows. ] But Robin came back, fueled by a slightly misguided desire for revenge against Batman and his new Robin.

He's here, going by the alias Red Hood. [ she won't say his real name. blowing someone's identity is too personal — a mistake she made before. ] So keep my secret ID on the down-low and be careful, Connor, okay? I haven't met him until now, so I'm not going to label him as toxic or whatever his bat-file says, but he's a potentially dangerous variable.

[But yeah, you do not need to be trained by the world's greatest detective to know that this news is potentially disastrous at best. There is a silence as Kon takes this in.]

I saw the memorial once. [It's still kind of shocking. Tim's so good with Bart most of the time that for him to snap like that -- There's a sigh.] Got it. No Bat-aliases, no judging the guy before he acts.

-- then again, alternate-me is seriously guided on the origin of serious parts of our DNA, so I don't know how much faith you want to have in him.

He must be young, if he's still Robin. My age at the oldest. [ because he's nightwing in his twenties and batman in his thirties. ]

The Riddler's here, too, although he's quote unquote reformed.

Eh, if he's willing to call a truce while we're here, I'm not going to push my luck by asking too many questions. I am making friends with a giant bug whose surname is 'Assassin' and got creeped on by the Boogeyman so at this point I am kind of done caring.
